A big news is coming out from Mali. Where suspected jihadists on Friday attacked villages in Mali’s insurgency-hit Mopti region, killing more than 20 people. Sources said that the attackers looted six villages in Bandigara area during the day and evening and set them on fire.

The attackers were riding motorcycles
Regarding the attack, sources said that the attackers had come in large numbers riding motorcycles. They first attacked a village, killing everyone and destroying the village. However, there has been no comment on this from Mali’s ruling military junta.
Mali struggling with Al Qaeda and terrorist groups
Mali is battling terrorist groups linked to al Qaeda and Islamic State, which took root in the north of the country after the Tuareg rebellion in 2012. The terrorist group has since spread to other countries in the Sahel region, where they have killed thousands and left millions homeless.
