The Education Secretary of the Central Government will be made a member of the Executive Council (EC) of Aligarh Muslim University. The Central Government has given instructions to the University for this. It is believed that this will increase the interference of the Central Government in the affairs of the University. It was decided in the Executive Council meeting that a high level committee should be formed in this matter. Any decision should be taken only after the report of this committee comes. This committee will be formed soon. This committee will give its report. After this the university will inform the central government about this report.
Let us tell you here that the Central Government had earlier instructed the University in this regard that the Central Education Secretary should be made a member of the Executive Council. Only after this there was a deep discussion on this in the EC meeting. It should be noted that AMU is constantly in the headlines regarding many issues including reservation, student union elections.

Therefore, now with the Union Education Secretary joining the EC, the interference of the Central Government in the university will increase.
