
CBI raided Bhupesh Baghel’s residence
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday raided several places including the residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The officers provided this information. The news agency PTI quoted unknown officials as saying that the teams of the investigating agency arrived at the residence of Bhupesh Baghel in Raipur and Bhilai as well as a senior police officer and a close associate of the former Chief Minister. However, the CBI has not said in which case this raid is being conducted. Let me tell you that recently the team of Enforcement Directorate had raided Bhupesh Baghel’s residence in connection with the alleged liquor scam.
Bhupesh Baghel’s office reacted
In view of the CBI raid, the office of Bhupesh Baghel has issued a statement reacting to this incident. In the statement, the office of Bhupesh Baghel said that the CBI reached his residential complex before going to Delhi for a meeting of the All India Congress Committee for a meeting of the All India Congress Committee. The statement said, ‘Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is going to Delhi today for the meeting of the draft committee for the AICC meeting to be held on 8 and 9 April in Ahmedabad (Gujraj). Before that, the CBI team has reached the residence in Raipur and Bhilai.

Explain that earlier on March 10, the Enforcement Directorate raided Baghel’s residence in Bhilai city as part of an investigation into the allegation of money laundering against his son in the alleged liquor scam case. He said that under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), searches were also conducted at 13 other places including Laxmi Narayan Bansal alias Pappu Bansal, alleged close associate of Chaitanya Baghel. Explain that the Congress has formed a 15 -member draft committee. It includes the party’s national general secretary Bhupesh Baghel and Chhattisgarh General Secretary Sachin Pilot. Randeep Surjewala has been made its convenor.
