Boats did not run in the Ganges on Monday. Due to this, tourists could not see the ghats. The sailors stopped operating the boat by accusing the water police and NDRF of harassment. The sailors held a gathering at Dashashwamedh Ghat and shouted slogans against the governance and administration. An attempt was made to hold talks towards the water police, the municipal corporation and the district administration, but the talks could not reach the consequence due to changing the demand of the sailors. About 2500 small and big boats run in the Ganges.
