New Delhi. Bollywood actor Adi Irani has put many memorable characters on the big screen in his career. By the way, he has been seen in negative roles in most movies. Recently Adi Irani spoke about his poor experience in the industry. He told that he had got a role in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, but later it was found that he had been dropped from the film and Parmeet Sethi was cast in his place.

In an interview to YouTube channel Filmytantra Media, Adi Irani said, ‘I auditioned for Dil Dhadakne Do, she liked it. I was selected for the role. Then Zoya Akhtar called me and said if you will give another audition again. I said okay, he himself auditioned. I explained to Zoya that I do not want my character to be seen in the entire film, even if the scenes are less, but they should have quality.

Parameet Sethi was cast
Adi Irani told that when he was shooting for ‘Welcome Back’, Zoya had selected Parmeet Sethi, but he was not informed about it. He told, ‘Zoya told me that if she has anything like this, she will call me. At that time I realized that I was not going to get that role. When I was called for an audition for the second time, a separate character lines were given. I understood that he was not going to get the role, for which he had given auditions first. I was not even told about it.

The actor says that he was given out of Zoya Akhtar’s film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, but he should have been told about it. He said, ‘This is not professional, but who knows what she was thinking. It is very difficult to tell an actor that he has been removed. People in the industry are not very clear and open. This is what I feel. He also told that now the directors and producers are making films to earn money and there is no longer an emotional touch in the stories.
