200 mobile phones stolen through DOT’s communication partner portal have been recovered. After reporting by the user on this portal of the Department of Telecommunications, the stolen mobiles through cyber cell and local police were easily recovered. Through the Sanchar Saathi portal, not only you can report your lost or stolen phone, but you can also check how many SIM cards have been issued in your name. Apart from this, you can also report fake calls and messages etc. on this portal.

According to the Department of Telecommunications, 200 mobile phones reported on the Communication Saathi portal with the help of Akola police and cyber cell in Maharashtra were returned to their original mothers. The price of these mobile phones recovered is around 42 lakh rupees. This portal of the Department of Telecommunications can prove to be a boon for millions of mobile users of the country. The telecom department has also launched its mobile app recently, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

How to use Sanchar Saathi?

  • To use this portal, you website https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/ Or go to the app.
  • After this you have to go to the section with Citizen Centric Services.
  • Here you will get the option to get fake collar, stolen or reported to the lost mobile phone, information about mobile connections, real-fake identity, internet service provider information etc.
  • Through Chakshu portal, you can report fake calls, SMS, e-mail etc. on your mobile. At the same time, you will also get the option to report the international fake call coming from Indian number on the communication partner.
  • You can choose the option according to your own by going to these citizen services given on the communication partner portal.

To report a lost or stolen mobile phone, you must have an IMEI number of the phone, which you can see on the bill besides the phone box. Without IMEI number you will not be able to report your stolen or lost phone.

For information about how many SIMs have been released in your name, you will have to enter your mobile number, Aadhaar card etc. details etc.
