Telangana hc upholds death penalty to 5 convicts in 2013 Hyderabad Bomb Blast Case – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

The Telangana High Court on Tuesday upheld the death sentence of five terrorists of the banned terrorist organization Indian Mujahideen. The court upheld the decision of the trial court’s sentence. The terrorists were involved in the 2013 bomb blast case, killing 18 people and injured 131 people.

Justice K.K. A bench of Laxman and Justice P. Sri Sudha rejected the criminal revision appeal filed by IM terrorists, retaining the NIA court’s verdict. The bench said, “The punishment imposed by the trial court is confirmed.”

What is the matter?

Earlier on December 13, 2016, the NIA court convicted five members including IM co-founder Mohammad Ahmed Sidibapa alias Yasin Bhatkal, Pakistani citizen Jia-ur-Rehman alias Waqas, Asadullah Akhtar alias Bone, Tahsin Akhtar alias Monu and Ejaz Sheikh. Two deadly explosions occurred on 21 February 2013 in the city’s crowded shopping area Dilsukhnagar.
