The World Bank on Wednesday expressed firm confidence in the Indian economy and appealed everyone to come to the country and invest. Speaking at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Business Summit, World Bank Country Director Auguste Tano Koume said that despite a slight decline in development, the lender remains optimistic about India’s economic possibilities.

He said, “We are not worried about India’s growth at this time. We are very optimistic about India and will remain optimistic.” He emphasized that the fluctuations of one percent in economic development do not change the positive attitude of the World Bank.

He said, “If someone is worried about recent figures, we would like to say don’t worry. India is a shining light in the world. If you want to invest, come here and invest. India’s growth for investment. Makes a suitable place. ” For the current financial year, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has estimated the economic growth of 7.2 percent in December 2024, while in 2023-24 it is 8.2 percent.
