Traffic was interrupted for several kilometers on all routes of Mahakumbh Mela on Sunday in Prayagraj. The crowd of the crowd was that Prayagraj Sangam railway station was closed. He said that IERT and Baghara parking (near the fair area) have the capacity to park four to five thousand vehicles, while 20-25 thousand vehicles can come in the parking of distant parking like Nehru Park and Bela Cachar. Singh said that there was not so much crowd in the last (2019) Kumbh, especially on normal days, but this time there is so much crowd in normal days. He also said that for the next few days, the crowd of devotees is not expected to decrease.

Prayagraj Sangam station closed due to crowd

At the same time, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Northern Railway), Lucknow Kuldeep Tiwari said, “Since the passengers were obstructed from the station due to a huge crowd outside the Prayagraj Sangam station, the decision to close the Prayagraj Sangam station Has been taken. Now passengers have to go to Prayagraj Junction to catch their train. Railway officials say the station will be reopened after the crowd is controlled. The administration has appealed to the passengers to follow the instructions. For the convenience of devotees, it is also being considered to run additional trains.

North Central Railway has implemented the system of traffic in a single direction till the advance order at Prayagraj Junction station in view of the huge crowd of devotees coming in Mahakumbh 2025. Amit Malviya, Senior Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, gave information.

For the safety and ease of passengers, the entry will be given only from the city towards (platform number 1) and the withdrawal will only be from ‘Civil Lines’.

Passengers with unreserved tickets will be given admission by Director Passenger Shelter.

Ticket arrangements will be in the form of unreserved ticket counter, ATVM and mobile ticketing in passenger shelters.

Similarly, passengers with reserved tickets will be given entry gate number five and they will be allowed to go to the platform half an hour before the train arrives.
