The person registered his own account in the name of Sunny Leone and started taking advantage of the amount of Rs 1000 in it. When the matter came to light, the police and department officials were shocked, while the social media users also slammed the negligent officials for the scam in the government scheme.
A person opened an account in the name of Sunny Leone
A shocking case of fraud has come to light in a Chhattisgarh government scheme for married women, in which a person allegedly opened an account in the name of actress Sunny Leone and was depositing Rs 1,000 in it every month. Under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Rs 1,000 is sent to the accounts of married women every month. Now it has come to light that one of the accounts in which this amount was being deposited is also in the name of Sunny Leone.
Police registered a case
The person who opened and operated this account has been identified as Virendra Joshi and a case is being registered against him for further action. Officials responsible for verification of eligible beneficiaries of the scheme are also being identified. Information about fraud was received in Talur village of Bastar area of Chhattisgarh, District Collector Harish S has asked the Women and Child Development Department to thoroughly investigate the matter and seize the bank account for recovery.
