PM Modi launched LIC Bima Sakhi scheme.Under the scheme, women will get training to become LIC agents.During the training of up to 3 years, some amount will also be given as salary.
LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (9 December) launched the Bima Sakhi scheme of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) from Panipat, Haryana. The objective of this scheme is to make women self-reliant. Launching this scheme, PM Modi said that India is continuously taking steps towards women empowerment. On this occasion, PM Modi also symbolically handed over appointment letters to some Bima Sakhis.
Under the Bima Sakhi scheme, women will be given training to become LIC agents. During this period, Rs 5 to 7 thousand will also be given every month. Apart from this, commission will also be given.
Who can apply
Bima Sakhi scheme is only for women. To apply for this, one must have at least 10th pass certificate. In this, only women between 18 to 70 years will be able to apply.
