A skeleton was recovered on Wednesday from the Madrasa that had been closed for four years on Pokharpur Farm Road in Jajmau. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot along with the forensic team, investigated and collected evidence. The body has been sent for postmortem. DNA sample will also be taken.
Parvez Akhtar, a resident of New Road, started running Madrasa Qadariya Uloom in the year 2015. About 70 to 80 children of nearby primary level studied in it. Parvez took a two-storey house built in 100 square yards from his father-in-law Shabbir Ahmed, a resident of Bekanganj, and started running the Madrasa by naming it Qadariya Uloom. The operation of the madrasa was stopped about four years ago during the Corona period. After this, Parvez died in June 2022 due to cancer.
Parvez’s son Hamza told that two years ago also he had come to know that the lock of the house was broken. During that time he had closed the second lock. According to Hamza, when his cousin Anas, resident of KDA, came out from the road, seeing the lock of the house broken, he entered the house along with the people nearby. Seeing the skeleton of a child lying in the back room, informed the police. On receiving the information of finding the skeleton of the child, Additional DCP Rajesh Srivastava and ACP Cantt Ajay Mishra reached the spot along with the forensic team and collected evidence after investigation.
