Now Amar Upadhyay shared an anecdote related to this scene. While talking to ABP, he said that the track of death of Tulsi’s husband Mihir in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ had created a sensation. He told that the audience was very upset due to Mihir’s death. This track was shown in a very exaggerated manner, due to which there was panic everywhere. Many women had reached his house wearing white sarees.
When the doorbell rang in the morning
Talking about this scene, Amar Upadhyay said – ‘In the morning the doorbell of my house rang, when I opened the door, 15-20 women wearing white sarees were standing at the gate. When I opened the door, she started looking at me with surprised eyes. When I asked her why she was wearing such clothes and why she was looking at me like that, she simply replied, ‘Nothing.’
the telephone lines were jammed
The actor further says- ‘I remember, when that episode went on air, my mother also became very emotional. She started crying, after which I had to tell her that I was alive and completely fine. I told him that I am sitting with you. After this, I got a call from Balaji Telefilms and they told me that the email servers had crashed and the telephone lines were jammed because there was an uproar everywhere regarding Mihir’s death.
Mother was angry
Amar Upadhyay further said – ‘Then my mother, who had heard everything, provoked him further, and he finally said – Ever since Mihir died, we thought… After saying this she became silent. I got angry at this and shouted – Are you guys crazy? He died in the show! What are you guys doing? Now go away from here, he is my son.
