Patna: To ensure the convenience and safety of the passengers who have come to their homes to celebrate the festival on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparva, East Central Railway has announced to run 446 special trains from November 8 to November 22. Let us tell you that this time 77 more special trains will be run as compared to last year, so that people get relief from troubles. Along with this, for the safety of passengers, arrangements have also been made for 24-hour surveillance through CCTV cameras at the stations.
Railway Board Chairman held a meeting
Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Satish Kumar reviewed the facilities and safety of passengers and other preparations for the festival of Chhath through video conferencing on Tuesday. General Manager of East Central Railway Chhatrasal Singh and major department heads also participated in the review meeting. In the review meeting, the Chairman informed that this year, 446 long distance special trains will be operated from November 8 to November 22. Let us tell you that in the same period last year, 369 special trains were operated.
These trains will be operated
On November 8, 35 special trains will be run from Barauni, Darbhanga, Danapur, Gaya, Jaynagar, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Raxaul, Saharsa, Samastipur and other stations to various important stations of the country. Apart from this, holding areas have been created for passengers at other major stations including Patna, Danapur, Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga. Also, continuous announcements are being made at the stations so that information about train movement can be easily available.
