Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal as Al Nassr defeated UAE club and defending champions Al Ain 5-1 in the elite section of the AFC Champions League football competition to move into the top three of the 12-team table. Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr have 10 points from four matches and are two points behind local rivals Al Hilal and Al Ahly. Both of them have won all four of their matches so far. Anderson Talisca scored the first goal for Al Nassr just five minutes after the start of the game.
Ronaldo then scored his second goal in the competition this season just after the half-hour mark. Fabio Cardoso’s suicide goal gave Saudi Arabia a 3-0 lead at half-time. Wesley and Talisca scored for Al Nassr in the second half. Meanwhile, Japan’s Vissel Kobe secured first place in their group with a 2-0 win over South Korea’s Gwangju FC. Malaysia’s Johor Darul Ta’zim moved up to third place with a 3–0 win over two-time champions Ulsan HD of South Korea.
