NEET UG 2024 Answer Key Released by NTA on 29th May; Students are elated

NEET UG 2024 Answer Key:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET UG answer key for the year 2024 on 29th May for one of the prestigious examinations in India and that is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate (NEET UG) medical courses.

NTA has released the answer key in late evening on 29th May, 2024 after extensive consultations with the expert committee. 

Last year, in 2023, NTA released the answer key in June 4 and after that NEET result was declared on 13 th June.

Background:

National Testing Agency (NTA):

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous testing organization in India, established to conduct entrance examinations for higher educational institutions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an organization in India that is responsible for conducting various entrance examinations for higher education institutions. 

It was established in 2017 by the Ministry of Education (formerly known as the Ministry of Human Resource Development) to bring standardization and transparency to the process of admissions.

The primary purpose of the NTA is to conduct standardized entrance examinations for admission to various higher education institutions, ensuring fairness and equity in the assessment process.

The NTA is governed by a board of directors and operates under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

 The NTA has implemented several technological innovations to enhance the transparency and efficiency of the examination process, such as computer-based testing, biometric verification, and CCTV surveillance.

 

NTA administers the following high-stakes examinations under Ministry of Education, Government of India:

  • JEE Main: Joint Entrance Examination for admission to undergraduate engineering programs.
  • NEET: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate medical courses.
  • UGC-NET: University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professorship or Junior Research Fellowship.
  • CMAT: Common Management Admission Test for management programs.
  • GPAT: Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test for pharmacy programs.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET):

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a standardized entrance examination in India for students aspiring to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS, BDS, etc.) and some postgraduate courses (MD, MS) in both government and private institutions. NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET is primarily conducted to streamline the admission process for medical and dental courses across India, ensuring a uniform standard of evaluation for all candidates.

NEET 2024 Examination:

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted by NTA this year on 5th May, 2024. This year 23,81,833 students registered for the examination. These registration numbers are record number until now as per NEET report. 

Out of these, the majority were female candidates, with 13,63,216 registrations, while 10,18,593 male candidates registered for the examination. The examination was conducted across 557 cities in India and 14 international locations.

How to Check Answer Key 2024:

Students can check the answer key of NEET examination from official website neet.nta.nic.in

Students are advised to go to the official website as mentioned above and download the answer key of NEET UG 2024.

Challenge Answer Key:

Aspirants may challenge the answers which has been given in answer key published by NTA.

Candidates can challenge the answers by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Go to the official website of NEET : neet.nta.nic.in
  • Now click the dialogue box mentioned on that page ” Click Here for Answer Key Challenge”
  • Select the question for challenge and give the desired answer for that question.
  • Now click on save for your desired answer and go to the payment section to put forward your claim.
  • Now you have to make payment of Rs. 200/- through Debit Card/ Credit Card or Net Banking mode.
  • After successful payment, your claim has been registered and you get confirmation page.
  • You need to download the confirmation page and take that for future reference.

Marks Evaluation:

Candidates are required to answer 10 questions from the questions of NEET. If more than 10 questions are attempted by any candidates, then only first 10 attempted questions are taken for evaluation and numbers are given accordingly.

For every correct answer 4 marks will be given and for every incorrect answer 1 number will be cut off from the marks.

If the question(s) is found incorrect, then 4 marks will be given for attempting to the question.

Conclusion:

Students are advised not be worried at all in this situation. If you score good marks after evaluating the answer key, then it is all right, but those students who have not score good marks as per the answer key released, then do not worry about the result.
