
5G users
The number of 5G users in India has crossed 25 crores. The Department of Telecommunications has officially released this figure. Apart from this, more than 2 lakh gram panchayats of India have been linked to broadband connectivity. Since the launch of 5G service in October 2022, the number of 5G users in India has been increasing rapidly. Most users are switching from 4G to 5G. This is the reason that the demand for 5G smartphones in India has increased in the last few years. Mobile making companies are also launching 5G smartphones in India as against 4G. These days 80 percent of the mobile phones launched are 5G connectivity.
5G users cross 25 crores
At present, most of the 5G users in India use SIMs of Airtel and Jio. Both these telecom companies have first launched 5G service. Not only this, 5G service has been delivered in 99 percent districts of the country in just 2 years. This is the reason that India has become the fastest 5G rolling country. The Department of Telecommunications told its official X handle that more than 25 crore users in India are using 5G. The number of 5G mobile towers has crossed 4.69 lakhs. After Airtel and Jio, VI has also launched 5G service in Mumbai. Apart from this, BSNL can also launch 5G service by June this year.
Broadband connectivity in 2 lakh gram panchayat
Apart from 5G, there has also been a huge increase in the number of home broadband users in India. Due to the Bharat Net Project of the Central Government, broadband service has been delivered to more than 2 lakh gram panchayats. Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj SP Singh Baghel has given this information. The Union Minister of State said that the Bharat Net Project of the Department of Telecommunications has connected more than 2 lakh gram panchayats of the country to broadband. The Department of Telecommunications is working to bring the broadband service to every village.
