The Taekwondo competition at the 38th National Games is being held in Haldwani. But even before it started, allegations of match fixing and purchase of medal were reported. The GTCC committee of the Indian Olympic Association investigated the matter and found that some officials were already involved in deciding the results of the medal. There was a demand of Rs 3 lakh for gold, Rs 2 lakh for silver medal and Rs 1 lakh for bronze medal.
It is our priority to maintain the integrity of national sports. We had received several complaints against the former Director of Competition.
